Worship at St. Michael's is unique in many ways.
On the "traditional" side we wear vestements (robes), we light candles,
we have a processional and recessional. It looks very traditional.
Our worship follows the Rite II Service in the Book of Common Prayer.
But as you experience the worship here it feels and sounds very contemporary. Although we usually begin each service with a hymn from the hymnal,
most of the music we use is contemporary in style. We sing the latest worship songs as well as the classics spanning all the years of contemporary
worship music. So you may sing a hymn written 1000 years ago and then sing a song just written a few days before the service.
We believe God is present when we worship Him. So we use the best of the past and present to present our praise to God.
