During a baptism service at St. Michael's, the Priest asks the congregation, "Will you who witness
these vows do all in your power to support these persons in their life in Christ?" The people answer, "We will."
At St. Michael's we take this promise we make seriously when a child is baptized.
Through our children's Sunday School we teach our children the Word of God. We use age appropriate
curriculum that includes activities, crafts and lessons that can be continued at home with the family.
The children's Sunday School meets at 9am on Sundays in the Jonah Room, a classroom in the Parish Hall with a hand-painted
full wall mural depicting the story of Jonah.
On the first three Sundays of each month, during part of the worship service, the children go to their own Children's Church.
During Children's Church, the children hear the great stories of the Bible, combined with activities that reinforce the story
of the day. They return to the worship service during the Passing of the Peace to join their families for Communion. On the
fourth Sunday of each month our children remain in the service with their families. We provide them with their own worship
bulletins which have pictures, puzzles and activites all related to the Bible lessons and sermon for that Sunday.
