During a baptism service for children at St. Michael's, the Minister asks the congregation, "Will you who witness these vows do all in your power to support these persons in their life in Christ?" The people answer, "We will." At St. Michael's we take this promise seriously when a child is baptized.

Our third Vision Goal for the next 3-5 years states: SMAA will develop a vital and growing youth and children's ministry centered on God's love for all age levels. Program leadership will include a paid staff person who will provide direct Spirit-enabled ministry to youth and children and effective leadership to volunteer lay sponsors and ministries.

Our Children's Sunday School meets on Sunday mornings at 9am. They use a unique curriculum that follows the same Bible readings read in the Worship Service that day. The children study the Bible with crafts, activities, songs, skits and more.

During our Worship Services, each child picks a prize and a "Big Church Pak" from the Treasure Chest in the Narthex. Each pak contains sheets with games, puzzles, mazes, pictures, word finds and more, all based on the Scriptures for the day.
